More Morro...

My sister and her husband took a few days and went up the coast to Avila Beach, which is about .. oh... 200 miles north of here. They just 'hung out' and golfed and walked on the beach and went to see the Elephant seals. She's so taken by them she keeps telling me I have to see them. They saw a birth the last time they were there (there are hundreds of these beasts just sleeping on the beach). I keep reminding her that I've been up and down this very coast about twice a year for more than 40 years and I've SEEN them... more than once (grin).

Then I remembered my favorite little restaurant in that area in Morro Bay, across from the campground. I've blogged about it more than once. Apparently NO ONE in my family actually READS my blogs (ahem!), so I told her again. And they went and loved it! So she sent a picture to me..

You can see it here

or you can go to my blog dated September 14, 2007...

or September 15, 2005...

and see it again!

Oh... and at the end of March it's MY turn to head north for a bit.

and I'm MORE than ready!

Kitties in a Mirror...

Their first mirror. Somehow I expected a much more excited response. They seem only to care that it's something new.

They've ignored it since.

They Have, However, Become Closer...

Notice the paw touching...

They have had their bouts of being disinclined to behave..

That being said, tonight in a fit of... well.. good nature?, Baby Kitty climbed in the basket already occupied by Big Kitty (on the left, as they are getting similar in size). Baby Kitty has a habit of picking on her older sister, and she started by aggressively 'pinning' her and then started to clean her allll over. Tails twitched and ears were alert for abuse, but they finally settled in a basket which is no longer big enough..

But it's still darned cute...

Meet Noow Frens... But Keep the Old...

One of the local schools near my Mother's jai... um... ASSISTED LIVING PLACE made Valentine's and brought them to the old people. It is always appreciated by the old people... always. one of Mom's really caught my fancy. Remember, this is a FIRST GRADE STUDENT. I added the color (poorly, I'm afraid) because I was not comfortable with taking it out of Mom's room and maybe losing it. I got as close as I can remember.

I want to meet Grant, I truly do..

He's an exceptional child in so many ways..

OUCH! (Big Baby!)

riiight...

So, I went to the skin doctor today (they're really nice and laugh at all my lame attempts at humor) and NOTHING LIKE THIS HAPPENED!

"Fishes feeding on your skin? Doctor fish or garru-ruffa is origin from two town of turkish, Kangal and Sivas. Long known for their ability to treat skin disease such as psoriasis. Those fishes feed on the affected area of the skin which then leave the skin to grow on its own. Increasing popularity especially from Japan, China, Turkey and Europe, it’s found to be useful to get rid of skin smear and aging cortex, nibbling away your dead skin, leaving them to glowing and smooth. The sucking of the fishes was also said to make your pores unobstructed and to promote blood circulation. The process is to immerse your feet or even your whole body (if you are daring enough) in a warm pool filled with thousands of Dr fish and fishes will start to “bite” you with their toothless mouth. The sensation was described as tinglish and painless when you get used to it, the nibbling even have the calming effect. The result is new glowing, healthier skin."

hmm... seems kinda kinky to me, but I"m up for anything EXCEPT BURNING OR CUTTING PARTS OF ME OFF OF ME~...

NO.. I'm FINE, thank you..

just FINE...

it's just...

well,

maybe the little fishies are an option..

And NO, Lightning Did Not Strike!

Cell Phone Slack Key...

a snippet of a Slack Key concert in my town yesterday. Not a great video, but the music was wonderful. The turn near the end was to hopefully capture the hula dancer...

Cue Creepy Music...

I have a couple of places I like when it comes to breakfast. One, of course, is Scotty's, which is right on the ocean, thus ensuring a very pleasant experience at any time of the day. The other is my favorite Mexican restaurant, from which the view north, towards Los Angeles, is spectacular. No one notices this much, but it's really a great view (on good days). I saw this the other day on my way in to breakfast.

It was strange and beautiful all at once, and weird...

very weird...

Notice the almost perfect 45 degree angle. And it hung there for quite a while, then slowly moved... but it was STILL there as I was leaving. You can just see it , north of it's original position.

My best guess is that it is a SHADOW , seen from below the cloud cover, of contrails from Jets...

Either that or Aliens pointing the way to Los Angeles Airport.

One or the other.

What do you think???

(cue Twilight Zone music)
