More about Rosie...

Rosie is a rescue dog. She was 'turned in' to the shelter by someone who didn't want her. None of us knows why, but suspect that they thought she was a pit bull. She is an American Bulldog, both in appearance and SIZE... I think she's still growing. When she was still new to us, and quite a bit smaller, her MOUTH was her center feature (still is!). My niece sent this picture to me and I did an "Andy Warhol" rendition for fun.



I had the untouched picture made into a throw for them for Christmas.


She also served as a very important person in my niece's wedding. The wedding was in Mexico, so they had a ceremony at my sister's house so Mom could attend. Rosie was the Maid of honor and ALL the bridesmaids...

And she was beautiful...



She had some abandonment issues from being rejected, but is now a happy, healthy, extremely loving and sweet dog.

and she makes a hell of a bridesmaid....

Speaking About Dogs...

With all the animal talk (mainly sweet Kismet pictures from bonho) I had to show these...



This is Rosie. She's a rescue dog saved from a fate worse than by my niece. She's an American Bulldog who still seems to be growing. She's riding in my sister's boat and clearly liking it a great deal! My sister and all went to the lake last weekend to get away from the ripping apart of her kitchen due to a water/mold problem. Rosie got to go too, along with Casey, my sister's golden retriever.

They, of course, are NOT allowed on the bed.



nope... never.. no bed sleeping dogs here!





Well... maybe just for a while!!







One of the silliest things about Rosie is the size of her MOUTH!

She doesn't just yawn...

Ok... quit yelling. I'm going to be blogging again sooner than you think.

The stoopid tax stuff is done. I've wrapped up a lot of loose ends and I think I can see the light....

An old line, but a good one..

I finally got my cojones dusted off and in order and went to donate blood today. I was a bit nervous (eep!) but everyone was very nice. My left hand is still not my own, and gives indications that it may be 'with me' forever.

They used my right arm this time, and the gentleman was so careful.

It was a relief...
