We're Calling Her Gene... Guess Why!
My grandniece has discovered her tongue.
This means, of course, that she has to try to touch things with it... bound to get her into trouble at some junction or the other.
My nephew (on my brother's side) was out last weekend with some of his incredible artworks. He makes things out of things.
Beautiful and completely original things, about which I will blog very soon.
One of the things he brought was this metal (his speciality) THING made out of some interesting parts. If you look closely, you can see that there is a pickaxe blade and some weights and a pot metal bulgy thing (notice how carefully I paid attention to all the parts) and some buggy eyes. The fun part of this particular piece was the 'tongue', which is made out of the end of a railing. You can see the distinctive curve.
The first thing Rilynn did was stick out her tongue in answer to the age old question: just how LONG does a tongue have to be?
She imitated it every chance she got, and it cracked up the bunch of us.
My nephew asked me which piece that he brought that I liked best, and I said the 'frog' (or whatever it is) so he said I could have it. He also had some incredible lamps, but I have no counters that are large enough or prominent enough to handle them. He said I could have the sculpture, but, of course
It belongs to our little Gene Simmons impersonator..
Who just loves it!

I'm sorry but that looks like a 'joke' tongue, like there should be fake glasses and nose on top of it...love the metal sculpture...looking forward to seeing more of it! T
Well, she is "with the band".
